 Our dear parents


We want to update you on the status of affairs…let us start by telling you how we got here…

We arrived safely to Beirut and stepped out into a colder and wetter world… it had been raining in Beirut and we felt refreshed after the airplane ride… we loaded on busses and headed north for an hour… our last glimpse of civilization we at pizza Napoli for dinner and refreshments after which we started our dark and treacherous climb to the highest mountains in the middle east…alone on the road and with time pushing midnight we crossed into the below freezing world of ice and creamy nights… the clouds rode high, the skies were clear and we trudged on for another hour…

Some of us were tired but most of us were just too excited to sleep… it was beginning to snow now…the moon gazed down on us thru a frosty and snow filled sky…
We went to sleep looking out our windows from under our blankets, and it was definitely something we had never experienced this before…in one word…CALM…

Today we got up to a fresh coat of white fluffy snow everywhere…we have been promised great weather for the whole week…we start skiing in an hour… it is very exciting...

We will keep you posted and look forward to your emails…we miss you a lot but do not want to come back yet…
